Wild & Wellbeing Walks in the Lake District
Guided walks in the Lake District
Mountain Leader, Vanessa Bear, offers guided walks in the Lake District National Park with a focus on wellbeing.
You might be looking for a guide so that you can be map free, or to find some peace and quiet walking the less busy paths, or to include guided yoga and nature connection.
Vanessa offers bespoke walks for your group, based on your preferences, as well as organised group walks for you to join.

Bespoke Group Walks
Walks tailored to suit the individual preferences of your group. Whether you would prefer flat routes, hills, summits; to include yoga, guided meditations, nature connection, map reading skills, a post walk restorative yoga session, or a particular Lake District route.

Events
Throughout the year Vanessa plans organised walks for people to join. These usually combine walking in a beautiful landscape, yoga, guided relaxation, and nature connection actives for a holistic and embodied approach to wellbeing and nature connection.

Eco-Therapy
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, Vanessa also offers one-to-one therapy and therapeutic sessions outdoors. These can be regular sessions or can be one-off eco-therapy sessions exploring practices to deepen nature connection and wellbeing strategies.

About the Walks
Your group may simply wish to walk or you might choose to add in some yoga, map reading skills, meditation, guided rest, nature connection activites, bushcraft, maybe even a little hedgerow basket making!
Vanessa’s approach is on having a good time, this looks different for everyone.
For some, it might be a gentle stile-free walk at the lakeside stopping now and then to explore some creative ways to connect with nature. For others it might be getting to a summit and back without needing to navigate. For others it might be a steady walk in the mountains, learning a little map reading here and there and ending with a guided restorative yoga session wrapped cosily in blankets indoors. For others it might be a walk on a smaller hill, ending with a hot chocolate by a fire after learning to light it with flint and steel.
Some like to book a walk with colleagues as a way to develop relationships, or friends, or family with children, or couples, or alone.
Vanessa enjoys tailoring sessions that deepen your enjoyment, fun, peace, and connection with your body and with the beautiful nature of the Lake District National Park.
